Building a GPS Receiver
If you really want to see all the gps-like services out there and have android, you must play with the open-source GPStest
https://github.com/barbeau/gpstest
I've been fascinated for years how badly GPS does altitude (mean-sea-level)
in the USA they had to build an augmentation system for airplanes for altitude (WAAS)

iPhone 14 Pro comes with dual-frequency GPS
It is possible on quite a few modern Android phones to access raw receiver data and do post-processing using a rinet file to get mm-level accuracy. It's a little over my head since this isn't my industry. One of Google's more obscure Android apps to be used with it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.and...
GPSTest also carries some logging functionality to do the same: https://github.com/barbeau/gpstest

Moto g7 power gps not working 19.1
If you did not install GApps try outdoor with an unobstructed view of the sky for 10 minutes to get the first fix with apps like GPSTest by barbeau or SatStat for example.

What happened to the promise of super accurate GPS?
I hope more people can contribute with GPSTest app.

[help] formulate m/s to km/h
For a visual of what speed accuracy figures one might expect, I suggest trying GPSTest (not to be confused with similarly named apps). It'll display accuracy values along with many other values.

Our Plans for Thunderbird on Android

For the past 3 months in my spare time I was developing this list with Awesome Android Alternatives! Please check this out, you might find something useful, or maybe you can help me make it even better. Have an awesome day!
Yes, of course you can. I am aware of this app but I have not yet fully tested it. I know about K-9 Mail too. Also not tested.
I agree because I need to test it. I am aware of K-9 Mail and FairMail though.

Open Source GMail-compatible email apps?
OAuth just got merged 5 days ago for K9-Mail. You just need to wait for a new version to be released, or build the app yourself.

FairEmail stopping development after Google falsely flags app as spyware
I don't think K9 supports XOAUTH authentication over IMAP/SMTP yet [0], which is increasingly widely required by mail services.

Forgot my Firefox password so tried doing a reset. Gmail won't let me saying it's a phishing site
K-9 mail is a really good email client for Android as well

I have no time to check my many email ids and have chosen not to link my phone number with them. Is there any app that can notify me every time I receive an email? (FOSS is preferred)
On mobile if your email provider uses open standards like IMAP/SMTP/POP3 then check out email clients: K-9 mail or FairEmail. I assume you're talking about mobile - otherwise, on desktop I suggest Thunderbird, but there are many options. As an example, Protonmai doesn't work with either of these and does require using their dedicated app.

K-9 Mail 6.000
> that was otherwise abandoned
What are you talking about? It was never abandoned. That UI redesign took them multiple years and they released several betas over that time period. Just almost nobody bothered to chime in during any of the betas and then everyone started to complain when it got to stable.
