Asking user to give SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM permission
I've implemented it for one app, take a look here: https://github.com/gotify/android/commit/12c21da7b7ca94cf906d4ecbd2006c2a44374bc5

Cloudflare blocking VPN connection
I've got a problem with some of my services running behind cloudflare. I already explained this issue on GitHub.

UnifiedPush: A decentralized, open-source push notification protocol
You can self host a Gotify server (single file executable, web interface), install the app, set it to connect to the server on the local network. Sending a message is as easy as a curl to the server. It will show up in the apps.

The problem is that there is no iOS app. You could use the browser there but maybe ntfy would be a better fit (Android + iOS.)

Self-hosting all these services on two Raspberry Pi 4s!
Just Gotify's Android app, you'll need to register that as an Application with your server and then you can use your phone as a target for the notifications.

Open source email pioneer Roundcube joins the Nextcloud family
Unfortunately, I can only second this. The absolute basic functionality, meaning file storage and access through a browser, works fine. However, as soon as it comes to integration, things fall apart, and it's not even terribly complicated stuff. For instance, I used Nextcloud to automatically upload photos from my Android mobile, and this has been completely broken for over 2 months now, and nothing is happening (see https://github.com/nextcloud/android/issues/11974). It's pretty clear they simply do not have enough staff to maintain all of the clients, and I'm just rsyncing my stuff now...

Autoupload feature is still buggy. Looking for alternatives...
However, there are some longer standing issues with uploads that seems to only impact a small subset of people. It's generally blamed on different versions of android handling background processes and permissions differently. There doesn't seem to be one single cause, or one solution, other than what's suggested in that issue.
- Why do I keep getting these?

What to do about Nextlouds missing two way sync?
The corresponding issue on Github has been open since 2016 and even though there are a few hundred dollars bounty exposed, nothing is moving there.
- Has anyone else had Issues with the android app the last ~4 weeks?
-
SSL Initialization Error on *App*, but not via Browser
It seems that this is still not supported by Android app - https://github.com/nextcloud/android/issues/603
