Good Books for a GO Beginner in 2023/24

What part(s) are you struggling with and how are you learning? The Go Programming Language is slightly outdated but is an excellent intro. You can read the first chapter free. Also the resources on https://go.dev/learn/ are great. If I were you, I would come up with an idea you're excited about and build it.

If you want to learn Golang - please go through "Go Programming Language" by Brian Kernighan and Alan Donovan
"Low-level programming" is chapter 13, both in the version I have and on https://www.gopl.io/ -- the rest is all somewhat crucial stuff, except for maybe reflection.

The C Interpreter: A Tutorial for Cin
I'm sure I remember Pike starting off as a literal C interpreter, but somewhere along the line decided to become it's own 'C-like' language.

Wikipedia seems to imply that it was separated out from LPmud's built-in 'C interpreter' which sounds about right.

I guess it is more of packaging issue of using pike in that manner, perhaps this is something for the pikers to explore. Could be a great way to revitalize the language, the world could need a embedded strictly typed C like dynamic language.
