Godot Kotlin alpha is OUT !
We already tried it in a former repo: https://github.com/utopia-rise/godot-kotlin-native but crossing boundaries between C and kotlin native is really expensive. Performances are really bad, in contrary to jvm.

It turns out, AI work isn't too difficult. Game 6 of 20 turned out beautifully, excluding of course the, uhh, interesting sound design.
You can find templates online which should help you in the future. And this person developed an AutoTiler https://route1rodent.itch.io/autotiler

Can anyone recommend some free/paid tilesets that follow the 3x3 minimal pattern for TileMaps?
If you want to use a basic 13 tile tileset and turn it into a 3x3 autotile min then you can use this AutoTiler tool that generates every single of the 47 tile combinations needed for 3x3 min tile. You do need to install NodeJS to use but it works great and even exports to Godot resource files so you can drag and drop (and fix up the path to the resource but that's easy)
