Prusti: Static Analyzer for Rust
According to the Readme, this is based on a more-general verification framework called Viper, which apparently works for several languages (including Rust): https://www.pm.inf.ethz.ch/research/viper.html
There also appear to be equivalents of this tool in Python ("Nagini" https://www.pm.inf.ethz.ch/research/nagini.html) and Go ("Gobra" https://www.pm.inf.ethz.ch/research/gobra.html).
I'll definitely be checking out Nagini for my work!

Gobra: A Program Verifier for Go
It is open-source and available on Github (https://github.com/viperproject/gobra). There is also a VS-Code plugin that allows users to interactively verify their Go programs (https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=viper-admin.gobra-ide).

Note, this is called flow-sensitive typing (also called type narrowing) and I think that typescript does it.

This works better if you are able to provide contracts in your API that says which guarantees you provide. Alternatively, asserts are useful too.

You might be interested in the Prusti project, which statically checks for absence of reachable panics, overflows etc. It also allows user-defined specifications such as pre and post-conditions, loop body invariants, termination checking and so on.

Wow that sounds really cool! I'm not an expert but does that mean that one day you could implement dependend types or refinement types in Rust as a crate ? I currently only know of tools like: Flux Creusot Kani Prusti
