Storing secrets in distributed binaries?
Nice. I think another option for a server application is using environment variables. A more sophisticated solution is to use a secret manager like hashicorp vault paired with its OpenAPI go library.
What are some alternatives?
When comparing go-keyring and vault-client-go you can also consider the following projects:
purego
Vault - A tool for secrets management, encryption as a service, and privileged access management
todomvc - Using particleui to recreate todomvc
sealed-secrets - A Kubernetes controller and tool for one-way encrypted Secrets
zenity - Zenity dialogs for Golang, Windows, macOS
open-golang - Open a file, directory, or URI using the OS's default application for that object type. Optionally, you can specify an application to use.
