get_iplayer VS YT-RED-UI

I used get-iplayer on GitHub. Need to be in the UK or VPN into the UK for it to work though.

Use NordVPN (most other VPNs are blocked by the BBC) and download the File with get_iplayer?

This isn't quite what you were after, but there's a utility named "get_iplayer" which can download streamable content (like Museum of Curiosity) from iPlayer: https://github.com/get-iplayer/get_iplayer

For BBC iPlayer I recommend get-iplayer. Works better than yt-dlp for this case.

Yes, that's a very well-run project. Note, in particular, the "Releases" section on the right-hand side of the page which leads to this page where you can download installation packages for popular operating systems. That's very easy for project owners to provide, but very few do.

For downloading from BBC Sounds - Youtube-DLG is what you want - https://mrs0m30n3.github.io/youtube-dl-gui/. Just paste the link in and it will download it. You can also use get_iplayer if you want to dabble in the command line stuff.

I've heard of people using this before. Would be nice if they are least sold the footage each year or something some such

YT-RED v1.0.2.0 Beta is now available

Visit the releases page on the GitHub repository for the latest releases. Right now, v1.0.1.0-beta is the latest release. Click on Assets and then download the Zip file for your architecture. (most people these days are on x64) Extract the zip file, or open it and copy the YT-RED folder somewhere on your PC, and then just run YT-RED.exe in that folder.
