get_iplayer VS get_iplayer_win32

I used get-iplayer on GitHub. Need to be in the UK or VPN into the UK for it to work though.

This isn't quite what you were after, but there's a utility named "get_iplayer" which can download streamable content (like Museum of Curiosity) from iPlayer: https://github.com/get-iplayer/get_iplayer

For BBC iPlayer I recommend get-iplayer. Works better than yt-dlp for this case.

Yes, that's a very well-run project. Note, in particular, the "Releases" section on the right-hand side of the page which leads to this page where you can download installation packages for popular operating systems. That's very easy for project owners to provide, but very few do.

For downloading from BBC Sounds - Youtube-DLG is what you want - https://mrs0m30n3.github.io/youtube-dl-gui/. Just paste the link in and it will download it. You can also use get_iplayer if you want to dabble in the command line stuff.

I've heard of people using this before. Would be nice if they are least sold the footage each year or something some such

Install get_iplayer, depending on your operating system, if you run Windows then you can find the installer here - https://github.com/get-iplayer/get_iplayer_win32/releases/tag/3.30.0 and then run the command : get_iplayer --pid=THE-SHOWS-PID-NUMBER-GOES-HERE

Very easy to use, if your not behing VPN and in the UK of course, download from here; https://github.com/get-iplayer/get_iplayer_win32/releases/tag/3.26.0 If you want all the Nighty Night episodes enter this into the command line after launching get_iplayer; get_iPlayer --pid=b008yxvb --pid-recursive --tvmode=best --file-prefix=".. The above will download all episodes currently in iPlayer and name them with Series and Episodes number with the Episode title.
