Trying to emerge chromium yields this kinda cryptic error...
First of all why vanilla chromium? i think www-client/ungoogled-chromium is better no? From this overlay (aka repo) https://github.com/PF4Public/gentoo-overlay

Does anyone know how I can use discord with the system version of electron?
pf4public iirc is one of the preferred overlays that provides the package for ungoogled chromium and some others but if you read the newest electron ebuild it's a complex monster with a lot of avenues for lapses in maintenance to allow mistakes to be made.

May i introduce you to pf4public overlay, where you can find ungoogled-chromium-bin. Chromium without Google and a bunch of other privacy or usability related patches.

Relevant upstream issue - even though it's using clang, you have to downgrade from GCC 11 to GCC 10 (with eselect)

Are SynoCommunity packages included in HyperBackup (or elsewhere for backup)?
Recently learned about the SynoCommunity packages, but I saw this comment for a package that HyperBackup might not recognize a package and thus not back it up. However, it was unclear if it was for the particular package, or if this is a shortcoming of the SynoCommunity packages—since it's a third-party thing, maybe it applies to all SynoCommunity packages.
