completed 80 questions of leetcode in golang😊
The disadvantage is it lacks some features necessary to scale nicely to huge codebases. Large projects end up using source code generation and other hacks. i.e. https://github.com/kubernetes/gengo
- Not giving the programmer a choice and forcing them to be pragmatic was one of the main selling points of Go. Allowing generics at all will likely make them seep into the ecosystem over time and destroy part of that value proposition.

What are the cool kids learning these days?
Go also doesn't scale on a large codebase. you end up using hacks like source generation (https://github.com/kubernetes/gengo) and static analysis to make up for the shortcomings of the language. The jvm or .net have better tools for dealing with complexity imo. Jvm langs can compile to bin with graal.
