Rclone alternative for google drive that can faithfully clone a gdrive -> new gdrive *including duplicated files*
One more suggestion. Ideally you could use this tool orAPI https://github.com/prasmussen/gdrive to make list of all file ID (not filename). Then write a script to download ONE file at a time and upload it. That way files-with-duplicated-names are also uploaded.

Recommendations for a cloud back-up/sync that includes or excludes folders.
You can use inotify-tools to watch for specific file and directory changes, then perform actions using a synchronization API. See also https://github.com/prasmussen/gdrive.

Command line tools for Gdrive
I know of prasmussen/gdrive, it works fine for the few things I do with it; though the last update seems to be more than one year old.

Install gdrive for linux
I have tried downloading the Source and gdrive_2.1.1_linux_amd64.tar.gz. When I try to extract with tar, the resulting file is not a folder in the latter case - I believe it is a binary file, but I am not sure what to do with that. In the former case, I do get a folder, but when I run "./configure" within this folder, I get:
- ImageSearch command not seeing Google drive 'upload complete' box. How to circumvent this?

linux client to sync shared drives?
I've just tried github.com/prasmussen/gdrive but unfortunately there's no support for shared drives.

Best way to copy/sync files to computer that is behind Firewall
Just use google drive. https://github.com/prasmussen/gdrive

Google Drive Backup - Easily back up your Google Drive files, including Google Document formats such as Slides, Sheets and Docs
Yeah a malware signature isn't my concern. What if the docs are re uploaded to another cloud service behind the scenes? I can monitor all that traffic manually or just skim your app's source code to gain that trust. I mean that's how you likely trusted the gdrive project you're using underneath!

Winlator: Android app that lets you to run Windows apps with Wine
here's a hunch assuming you tried the below client:
https://github.com/abraunegg/onedrive/blob/1a88d33be3e2c6747...
try changing that to e.g. the android (or windows) onedrive client's id.
this trick works for exchange (allowing third-party mail clients).

Using MS OneDrive(r) on Debian 12 -- but .deb packages only for Deb 10/11
I first started with this onedrive client https://github.com/abraunegg/onedrive (+ the GUI package) and got it working fine, but it seems like a sync all-or-nothing deal.

OneDrive Requires Admin Approval - Workarounds?
I have used an app called, appropriately, onedrive. The git repository and info is here. Once you connect to OneDrive (not hard to do at all) you can do anything in the folder and when you start the command from the CLI it will sync the files to your account and update the files on the server. There are a few custom options you can set to streamline. I used it for a long time syncing with Windows and it works great.
