I haven't tried it myself, but I believe Project Nested is a separate emulator which works on any SNES flashcart.

Emulating the NES on SNES
In case anyone here has missed this little bit of news I thought I'd share. Apparently the SNES was supposed to be backcompat with the NES/Famicom.
