The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

How lazy do push streams need to be?
Re Haskell Foldl: do you mean it doesn't support finite streams? Because the limitation of Foldl is precisely the fact that it is strict and doesn't support early termination. See https://github.com/Gabriella439/foldl/issues/85

A solid GUI Framework for Haskell?
Why do you need a GUI library, if you can write your application using extensible effects frameworks, just choose any and enjoy!
What are some alternatives?
When comparing foldl and extensible-effects you can also consider the following projects:
ReplicateEffects - Composable replication schemes of applicative functors in Haskell
ether - Monad Transformers and Classes
foldl-incremental
freer-simple - A friendly effect system for Haskell
foldl-exceptions - Exception handling with FoldM
frpnow
foldl-transduce-attoparsec - Attoparsec and foldl-transduce integration.
control-monad-exception - Explicitly Typed exceptions as a library
concurrent-state
atl - Arrow Transformer Library
parallel - a library for parallel programming
effect-monad - Provides 'graded monads' and 'parameterised monads' to Haskell, enabling fine-grained reasoning about effects.
