Do not update if you use 'Profile Switcher for Firefox'
Firefox doesn't control whatever this third-party program does. This issue has to be reported directly to its developer.
- Firefox must prioritize in-built Tab Groups above everything else if it wants to capitalize on the Chrome-MV3 chaos.

If I create a copy of an App in the Apps folder such that 2 apps can run side by side(Firefox, Firefox copy), will I get conflicting preferences files etc?
Try this community profile switcher. git link . Basically Firefox has folders for different profiles, you can check about:profiles to know the location of these folders.

So yeah, you can fork chromium and make your own nifty browser. But do not expect being able to play any video from any paid streaming service any time soon or ever.
