Unusual mouse and keyboard behavior. Linux Mint
Second, a simple tool is "System Info" in the Cinnamon Menu. Open it, then click the "Upload System Information" button and it will copy everything to termbin.com ... grab that link and post that. MUCH easier :)
-
Nvidia drivers regularly borked by phased updates...
$ grep-aptavail Phased -a nvidia -sPackage,Phased-Update-Percentage |nc termbin.com 9999

Why do i get less fps and more ping on Linux?
You do not need to post a screenshot - click the Upload system info button. A browser tab will open to termbin.com, and you simply post the url.

Can an SSD even reach tea time temperatures or is this a Mint issue?

[Need help] libvirtd.service failed with result 'start-limit-hit'
Also another way to share a journal or the output of any command is to pipe it directly to a pastebin like (termbin)[https://termbin.com/] with a command like journalctl -u libvirtd.service | nc termbin.com 9999. journalctl won't truncate any lines if it is redirected, as happened in your paste.

New to linux / Steam games cant switch to 1920?
to explain, this command will cat (contcatinate) all the files in the /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ folder and then the pipe will send the output of the command into the netcat program instead of to your screen. Netcat is used to transmit or recieve data over the network. and termbin.com is like a pastbein service. 9999 is the port number used, like your browser will usually use port 80 and 443, but hide the port number from the urls because its implicit when using http or https

Please help with this I2C Function

Difference between allocated space and file size?!
I mean using a pastebin service like dpaste.com or termbin.com (or any other), because Reddit's code formatting tools are thrash and regularly break down or don't display properly on all platforms (mobile, web, old design, etc).

LocalSend: Open-source, cross-platform file sharing to nearby devices
Some CLI alternatives if you don't need the GUI:
Croc: https://github.com/schollz/croc
Magic-Wormhole: https://github.com/magic-wormhole/magic-wormhole
I used to use MW but switched to croc as the single binary was easier to deploy.

Ask HN: Best modern file transfer/synchronization protocol?
On a similar note, can someone tell me what's the fastest (wireless) way to transfer files between two laptops on same network (i.e. hotspot)?
scp, rsync, wormhole give me only 2-3 mb/s.
What's causing the bottleneck here and what am I missing? Thanks in advance!

File transfer solution on a high-latency link
Check out wormhole. It works on Linux, Windows and MacOS, keeps your data entirely on the private network and uses HTTP as the underlying transfer vehicle. Since HTTP isn't nearly as bothered by high latency (as compared to SMB or FTP), this is probably as fast as you will be able to transfer files on that high latency network.

0x0: Share Files from Terminal
I prefer bashupload.com or transfer.sh for this. Both alternatives have worked well for me.
Alternatively, you can check out magic wormhole (for a more secure transfer of files between two terminals): https://github.com/magic-wormhole/magic-wormhole
