what is the bro cooking
It doesn't mean Github doesn't know what the languages are, just that they're not used as much as some others in the project. A prime example is https://github.com/christianhujer/expensereport which lists Assembly, Makefile, Kotlin, BASIC, TypeScript and Shell with "Other 62.8%" - in that case, "Other" includes everything from Python to Prolog.

Open-source Refactoring
There are a couple refactoring katas with the express intent of being ugly code that can be improved by refactoring, e. g. https://github.com/christianhujer/expensereport

Some QUICK FIXES Mojang could do to vastly improve the experience of using commands/datapacks
Check, test and merge this PR into Brigadier, update Minecraft commands - a few hours

the json you use when using command should be actual json
As I said, it's just more work for the command parser. It's much easier for the command parser to just dump the string into a JSON parser that I presume is already provided by Java or, if not, by some external library. If you look at Brigadier on GitHub, which is the parser Mojang designed specifically to parse Minecraft commands, a commit hasn't been made since February 2019, so I doubt that they're interested in updating this type of stuff.
