    Brigadier is a command parser & dispatcher, designed and developed for Minecraft: Java Edition.

  • As I said, it's just more work for the command parser. It's much easier for the command parser to just dump the string into a JSON parser that I presume is already provided by Java or, if not, by some external library. If you look at Brigadier on GitHub, which is the parser Mojang designed specifically to parse Minecraft commands, a commit hasn't been made since February 2019, so I doubt that they're interested in updating this type of stuff.
