Ask HN: What's a good, privacy focused bookmark manager?
3. For priority tracking, I use the builtin org-agenda with org-super-agenda[4] to create "views" based on some metadata[5].
This is all done without closing Emacs once.

How to read Hackernews and reddit the Emacs way
Not really. I use elfeed-org to manage my feeds in an ORG mode style. Some example (top reddit posts per month/week)

what is wrong with my elfeed-org configuration - wrong-type-argument stringp 126)
I am using elfeed-org, I do not understand what is wrong. I thought that the file elfeed, org containing all the feeds was the causem but it seems not, I have reduced it to 1 feed and it still shows the same error.

Elfeed-protocol - two way sync?
I maintain my feed list using the export feature of elfeed-org. I sync it manually by exporting to OPML and importing it into Nextcloud's web interface.

Org-mode as a Static Site Generator
There are a lot of cool projects that build upon org-mode (org-export) being a static site generator like org-webring (which includes the ability of making a planet-style aggregator page) and elfeed-org.

Is The Best RSS Reader An Emacs Package?
By "db" you mean list of feeds? There are several way to accomplish this, first is by using elfeed-org and placing them in an org file and essentially copying said org file to another machine and run an elfeed-update

The power of keeping a coding journal (2014)
A few tools I've come across that I've used.
Doing [1] by Brett Terspstra; "A command line tool for keeping track of what you’re doing and tracking what you’ve done."
NA [2] (Next Action) also by Brett Terpstra; "A command line tool for adding and listing per-project todos."
nb [3] is "a command line and local web note‑taking, bookmarking, archiving, and knowledge base application"
nb supports multiple notebooks, Git-based version control and a bunch of other things

Ask HN: What's a good, privacy focused bookmark manager?
I use [nb](https://github.com/xwmx/nb). It's a CLI tool (easy to write a GUI for if you want one) that is fast, uses Git to version control things, and handles more than just bookmarks. I sync across computers using Dropbox.

Any alternatives to Obsidian that are not built on Electron?
Depending on how minimal you want to go, nb is viable, but any “features” you’d have to script yourself. https://xwmx.github.io/nb/

Looking for guidance on simplifying my note-taking setup into the terminal
I found xwmx's `nb` which I quite like for its git remote integration and tools, but I find it somewhat clunky to interact with. On top of this, I am relatively inexperienced with vim, would like to keep my config very simple, and have no idea how to integrate `nb` with vim directly.
