I only have used Pterodactyl personally (bc its free and opensource) and My friends can start and manage the servers via a web GUI. here are some game servers pterodactyl supports out of the box

I am trying to set up an Astroneer server on my vps, the os it runs on is Ubuntu and i have installed pterodactyl and the pannel. I have installed the egg from this github page : https://github.com/parkervcp/eggs but it does not work. Does anyone have a way to set a server up on a system like mine?

I use pterodactyl so i can get any configs to host from here (for example)

The most popular one as of recently is the one named "Pterodactyl", it has a forge egg that you can use to quickly set up forge modded servers.

Games including but not limited to are. Minecraft (Bungee, vanilla, modded forge/fabric) (mostly multiple large mod pack) Ark survival Conan 7 days to die The forest And pretty much anything else you can host using parkervcp egg master on github https://github.com/parkervcp/eggs

New to using Pterodactyl. Got it fully set up with a working node but seem to have some issues spinning up a minecraft forge server using this Egg

If anyone is interested, I wrote a Pterodactyl Panel egg for running a SWAT 4 server under Wine. If you want to check it out I have everything over at my repo. If you need instructions for setting up Pterodactyl you can find those here

When it comes to gaming servers, go with a VM inside of Proxmox and run Pterodactyl.

I’ve used MC Server Soft to manage my local servers for testing in my pc. In my dedicated server I use Pterodactyl Panel.
