Who picks the themes and colors used in eclipse?
Last thing: Eclipse is supposed to automatically set its default theme based on your GTK theme (whether it’s dark or light). So it’s weird you’re encountering this issue. I wonder if the Ubuntu GTK theme is mistakenly labelled as a light theme, or if this is an Eclipse bug. Maybe report this to https://github.com/eclipse-platform/eclipse.platform.ui ?

Is there any way to statically detect broken references in a set of Java class files?
It used to be that using OSGi was cumbersome, but these days most libraries have are OSGi-friendly and bnd makes it really simple to develop OSGi applications.
