dots-hyprland VS hyprdots

My work on AGS, so far, has been mostly focused on adding support for additional features that weren't available before. I implemented the possibility to write your own PolKit agent in AGS and have just recently gotten secure session locking via the ext-session-lock-v1 Wayland protocol working. I still need to clean up the code and send PRs upstream, though.

That said, my config is available on GitHub [0]. If you want to see much more complete setups, you should check out the configurations by Aylur (creator of AGS) [1], kotontrion [2], or end_4 [3]. I'm sure there are lots more that are notable, but these immediately came to mind.

I am new to hyprland and want to learn to customize. Before making my own, I wanted to look and install other's configs to learn how they. So I found this dots git.

The number of people talking about how great it was, while it's much more recent that sway.

Eyecandy is important to, so is flexibility: check https://github.com/end-4/dots-hyprland and you'll see very different styles made from the same hyprland that I use in "each window is fullscreen" mode.

But to stay with a desktop, you've got to integrate it to your workflow.

If you want to get a system running from scratch quickly, and avoid the 'two days of setup' problem, I strongly recommend hyprdots. A lot of the things you'd be forced to manually find and install come pre-installed and configured.

Hi, Linux Noob here. I installed hyprland on endeavourOS by using this script. System booted normally, I login in into my account and resolution changed from 1920x1080 to 800x600 and shows only 50% of screen, and theres invisible mouse cursor. I tried running kitty terminal to change resolution by using xrander but when I open kitty terminal nothing happens. I tried opening others terminals but just getting a frozen system, even VMware freezes.

I recently started exploring the world of Arch and i now want to set up hyprland in my VM (I'm quite new to all of this). I tried to install it using https://github.com/prasanthrangan/hyprdots/tree/main both in VirtualBox and VMware, but after the installation and logging in I can't really do anything since I can't see my cursor, the resolution seems to be a little messed up and the keybind seem to not work.

I am new to linux and tried to use Hyprland, used https://github.com/prasanthrangan/hyprdots script, everything works fine, except when i go to suspend and then wake up, i login with sddm and a new session starts and all previous open windows and applications are lost. It's like i restarted the pc. Help please if anyone is familiar with this issue. Thanks.
