I hate webp.
Here's the one for firefox: https://github.com/jscher2000/dont-accept-webp
-
I have 49 add-ons enabled, how can I switch between a different configuration of addons as needed ? (other than running a private window)
25. Don't Accept image/webp 0.8.2 Strip image/webp from Accept: headers, which should discourage servers from replacing JPEG and PNG images with WebP images. https://github.com/jscher2000/dont-accept-webp
- Pain in the ass

What is the reason that we still cannot customize the GET requests that occurs when a new tab opens?
Add-ons can intercept requests and modify Accept headers globally (example) or based on parameters added to the URL (example) but I don't know how easily they can define new script methods that you could use in a page, if that is a requirement, or determine that it is the first GET request in a tab, if that is a requirement.

I edited and upscaled this NieR Replicant wallpaper. Hope you like it!
If you're on Firefox there's a tiny add-on that has helped me a lot with this issue: https://github.com/jscher2000/dont-accept-webp

Why does Firefox do this? Can I prevent it? I never want to save images as .webp
Same here, https://github.com/jscher2000/dont-accept-webp

An alternative for the "Better History" add-on?
I used to use this: https://github.com/Vincent-P/firefox-better-history
What are some alternatives?
Save-webP-as-extension - Firefox extension to overlay format and JPEG quality buttons on inline or stand-alone images for quickly saving a converted version of the image.
Content-Type-Fixer-extension - Firefox extension to override dumb Content-Type headers with correct values
pik - A new lossy/lossless image format for photos and the internet
Bookmark-search-plus-2 - Displays and filters bookmarks on search string, show parent folders. This is a Web Extension add-on version of the old "Bookmark search plus" XUL extension published by Alice0775, not working anymore in latest Firefox, and which was very useful.
View-Image-Info-Reborn-for-Firefox - Firefox extension to restore View Image Info functionality to the right-click context menu
invidious-redirect - A (very) small WebExtension to redirect YouTube links to Invidious.
WebPShop - Photoshop plug-in for opening and saving WebP images
