I hate webp.
Here's the one for firefox: https://github.com/jscher2000/dont-accept-webp
-
I have 49 add-ons enabled, how can I switch between a different configuration of addons as needed ? (other than running a private window)
25. Don't Accept image/webp 0.8.2 Strip image/webp from Accept: headers, which should discourage servers from replacing JPEG and PNG images with WebP images. https://github.com/jscher2000/dont-accept-webp
- Pain in the ass

What is the reason that we still cannot customize the GET requests that occurs when a new tab opens?
Add-ons can intercept requests and modify Accept headers globally (example) or based on parameters added to the URL (example) but I don't know how easily they can define new script methods that you could use in a page, if that is a requirement, or determine that it is the first GET request in a tab, if that is a requirement.

I edited and upscaled this NieR Replicant wallpaper. Hope you like it!
If you're on Firefox there's a tiny add-on that has helped me a lot with this issue: https://github.com/jscher2000/dont-accept-webp

Why does Firefox do this? Can I prevent it? I never want to save images as .webp

Show HN: YouTube's killing adblockers, so we made an undetectable one
For those who want to review the source: https://robwu.nl/crxviewer/?crx=https%3A%2F%2Fchrome.google....
tldr; it just clicks the "skip ad" button if one appears in the first 5 seconds
- Show HN: I made a Chrome extension to put headlines back into Twitter

clean up utm= parameters
You can extract the extension files using something like https://robwu.nl/crxviewer/ and run it from a local folder
- where is the source code on the addons page

30. Extension source viewer 1.6.12 (Disabled) View source code of Firefox addons and Chrome extensions (crx/nex/xpi) from addons.mozilla.org, the Chrome Webstore and elsewhere. https://github.com/Rob--W/crxviewer

Requires permission for 2 other sites, please tell me which !
I understand this box is too small to show all the permissions, but either make it scrollable, or give me a button to open said add-on in https://robwu.nl/crxviewer/ maybe ?
- This permission request window, should list all websites impacted, not just say "200 more"

Opera’s building ChatGPT into its sidebar
But you don't know what exactly the native summarizer does, because it's closed source. On the other hand, you can see the extension source on disk or using https://robwu.nl/crxviewer

Better to git-clone / build add-ons then download via e.g. firefox?
What I do (Chromium) is use this extension (it has a FF version too) to download the extensions I want from the web store, move the extracted files to another location on my harddrive then install it locally.

FYI: the Tampermonkey browser extension is NOT open-source
technically extensions by design are 'open source', and u can use something like https://github.com/Rob--W/crxviewer to view the code.
