Will learning Proxmox in my home lab stunt me career wise?
Learn on whatever you can get your hands on. Setup a domain, play with AD servers, group policy etc. For the windows activation, there is a linux docker you can run to activate the servers using the KMS keys.

I just found this commit (https://github.com/vulhub/vulhub/pull/413/files) for vulnhub containing a POC. I still don't understand exactly how they get to secret.txt in their example but it's a huge step forward. Plenty of mistakes in the Changelog.
