Well, I am not using pusher but socket.io. I have my local Docker container with websocket server https://github.com/oanhnn/docker-laravel-echo-server and I am using redis.

What is your current local environment for Laravel?
Some projects still using Vessel but anything new I'm now using Sail with a serve script that figures out which command to run. It also has a few others it checks for like WordPress and Hugo and falls back to a php -S of the current directory
