Gio - immediate mode GUI in Go
IMO if the file dialogs are your main problem with fyne, you could maybe combine it with another library or your own implementation to show native open/save dialogs instead, where supported. If you want to even go further, create a PR that integrates native dialogs into fyne (in addition to the custom dialogs that will still be necessary for consistency and fallback on systems without the necessary libs).

I had not heard of https://wails.io before for Golang GUIs, only https://fyne.io which renders its own controls.

Code for accessing portals in Go?
It would be great if we could add support for Flatpak portals in https://github.com/fyne-io/fyne but I find the portal documentation complicated (especially if preferring to use D-Bus instead of accessing libportal using C). Does anyone have code examples for using portals from Go code?
