Hello! I'm very new to this game, but i'm a professional pixel artist. Does anyone know how to remove the filtering from the game to make the textures look less blurry? Rn the game has what i'd imagine to be some form of bilinear filtering. which doesn't look great for small sprites. (meph tileset)
It may well be that you can help improve our community graphics tools! Our great advance, TWBT, is unfortunately no longer being improved upon. You can find technical info on Dwarf Fortress graphics by link following from here and much more about TWBT and the various tilesets updated for it at these github links. More community tool making information can be found here.

Biweekly Df Questions Thread
The crashes seem to be related to a recent-ish change in TWBT. Apparently, it's vermin remain overrides that are causing it. See https://github.com/thurin/df-twbt/commit/1463d16b3642c2c5b88cb5b7d909a8f3b3f70350#commitcomment-45558660
