Dynamic theme switching ('Homemade' solution and papercuts)
I read that the new GNOME has this feature, and since I was getting bothered by dark themes on sunny days, I looked up ways to implement it in KDE. I decided to use the darkman tool, which is desktop agnostic, in order to achieve this.

Introducing darkman v1.0.0

Does any browser follow the system theme for you guys?
Ah this is really unfortunate news. I've been using KDE for the past month and have been loving it, but this is a real annoying snag. I'd like to be able to use something like darkman for auto dark mode switching but having to restart all my GTK apps really sucks.

What would you like to see in a settings daemon?
Have you looked at darkman? It does exactly hat you’re trying to do. Is there any reason it won’t work for your needs?

Dark mode toggle
I use this one - https://github.com/bagnaram/dotfiles/blob/master/waybar/day_night_cycle.sh along with this function in my shell https://github.com/bagnaram/dotfiles/blob/10267a92b7a80830dbe2bf06146fe5971107b3e5/zshrc#L181 to handle the terminal mode theme switcher. Works nicely!
