- Why are basic features so buggy and rated poorly still? here's the contacts app, 3 years later with same bugs

Vikunja or simple CalDAV?
CONS: - May be too heavy if you are only looking for tasks and have no interest in any of the other features. - Problem with the CardDAV implementation used by Nextcloud (Github issue #1107) and seemingly other apps that use the Sabre DAV library (Baikal, etc.) means contacts do not sync properly with iOS.

Anybody using Nextcloud Mail ?
In the admin settings, you can set up the IMAP settings for that particular domain. Not sure what servers Yahoo uses. Refer to the documentation on Rainloops git: https://github.com/pierre-alain-b/rainloop-nextcloud/blob/master/README.md
