The official documentation provides everything neede to create your own software. Also nano.to offers a pretty easy access to transfering xno and checking the balance without using a separate wallet software: https://docs.nano.to/guide/wallet-api Alternatively, Atto is a command-line wallet, that could also be used: https://github.com/codesoap/atto

Just my 2 cents, as the author of the atto wallet: atto is completely stateless. You don't need to remember signatures. You can verify the signature with the public key, which is known.

Golang module for nano node RPC
If the other wallet only gives you a mnemonic, you would have to convert it into its hexadecimal form, before using it with atto. This has been discussed briefly at the GitHub Issue #3 before. You can use e.g. https://tools.nanos.cc/?tool=seed to do the conversion from mnemonic to hexadecimal seed (you may want to download the page and use it offline for extra security).

Ledger Nano does not support Nano, oh the irony.
If you like it simpler, there's also https://github.com/hectorchu/gonano-gui/releases that works together with Ledger Nano via USB.

https://github.com/hectorchu/gonano-gui/releases supports multiple seeds or other combinations like seed + Ledger hardware wallet.

Can spam attack being solved?
If you find the block on the network (e.g. https://nanolooker.com/) then the issue is on the receiving end. Try the seed in another wallet. I've tried Natrium and GoNano recently. Both worked. If you have trouble with receiving the funds in Natrium, try GoNano. Just don't use more than one wallet with the same seed at the same time.

Do we have to worry about spam attacks?
Nault can be configured to use local PoW and I know for a fact that GoNano uses local PoW by default. If all else fails try one of these.
