The specific feature you've mentioned are being developed in CloudStack (clone VM, migration between zones and k8s support). CloudStack has a native k8s support (CKS or CloudStack Kubernetes Service) along with support for a new CAPI provider https://github.com/kubernetes-sigs/cluster-api-provider-cloudstack that is being developed.
