Just like everything else in the shell, vim has its own rc file which we can use to customize it to our needs. That said, the first thing I do (well, did, now that I’ve discovered .dotfiles) when I set up my Mac is to installAlfred. Immediately makes the system search orders of magnitudes better in every conceivable way.
