ximi - a split 36/42 with all sorts of features
Trackball requires a trackball sensor breakout board. I have my own breakout board that I offer, but I also tested with the charybdis sensor pcb ( https://github.com/Bastardkb/charybdis-pmw-3360-sensor-pcb )

Build service for a handwired Charybdis ("Dactyl with a trackball")?
soldering of two Charybdis Trackball PCBs (I don't think I can convince u/FMcraft to sell me two assembled ones solo without a whole kit).
- Charybdis alternative build

Trackball cursor extremely jittery in Y direction only
Unfortunately yes. I'm going to remove the sensor breakout board and try it with a different mcu just in case, but I highly suspect that my sensor (or the breakout board is at fault.

Extra small trackball keyboard (5x3, miryoku, 34mm trackball, PMW3360 PCB)
At the same time (when it's ready... still have to do build guides and finish firmware) I will open source the 3d files like on the rest of m designs. The whole thing is made to be handwired, but does require a few PCBs to make your life easier: a custom PMW3360 sensor PCB, and an elite-C shield including a connector for the sensor PCB.

Sharing ADNS9800 and PMW3360 breakout boards on Github and EasyEDA
By the way I had time to test the PCB - works well. Here's a link to the github https://github.com/Bastardkb/charybdis-pmw-3360-sensor-pcb
