ESM not gaining traction in back-end Node?
One of the libraries I used most that went full-ESM is Chalk. They released v5 over a year-and-a-half ago (November 2021) with ESM-only support and haven't updated v4 - their last iteration that supported CommonJS - since. If you go into their GitHub Issues section, you'll see a number of issues raised about CommonJS support, most of which are just responded to with a link to a post they made about switching over. Fair enough. I guess if I had to constantly answer the same question over and over, I might do the same.

Here are the smallest libs: picocolors (2.6KB), kleur (2.7KB), ansis (3.2KB) and colorette (3.3KB), the rest are at least double larger.

It looks like using picocolors is better than chalk.
I think it is common to use the chalk library to add color to the text output to the console.It is also large and dependent on other libraries.By using a library called picocolors, we can expect to improve the size and speed of the package.The usability is almost the same, so it will be available as usual.
