Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Create your own private blockchain using Ethereum
chainId: An integer greater than zero that defines a unique id for your private network. The main network has ID 1. If you supply your own custom network ID which is different than the main network, your nodes will not connect to other nodes and form a private network.. You can find a community-run registry of Ethereum networks at https://chainid.network.

【Proposal Discussion】PlatON network to support ChainID 100 and 210425
The current ChainID of the PlatON mainnet is 100, which conflicts with that of other networks registered in ethereum-lists/chains. To better support DApps like MetaMask, another ChainID is needed, one that is unique and registered by a unified third-party platform under the EVM framework. As the PlatON mainnet has been running for nearly a year, the existing ecosystem tools (wallets, browsers, etc.) cannot be immediately migrated or adapted to the new ChainID. It is therefore proposed that the PlatON mainnet should support two ChainIDs at the same time for a certain period.

Certain tokens on my Trezor are not visible in Metamask
ETH-like-chain - What some call "ethereum" could refer to many different chains. For example ETH is chainId: 1, ETC is chainId: 61 and MATIC is chainId: 137. Here's a list of the 100s of chains Trezor could access.

A cool tool to add any EVM on your Metamask in one click
Ofc it's good to always double-check. But the tool is based on legit open repository: https://github.com/ethereum-lists/chains

Withdraw BNB to metamask BSC from Binance
Make sure your Metamask is on the Binance Smart Chain network and not the Main Ethereum Network. Please verify the chain ID, it must be 56 for Binance. Source: https://chainid.network/

Ethereum Foundation removes their canary
Even more relevant would be the Ethereum Improvement Proposal repo (where people submit proposals to change the spec):

Or the go-ethereum execution client (the most popular execution client):

How are blockchains built and deployed?
you may as well just look at the Ethereum reference implementation: https://github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum

Daily General Discussion - June 18, 2023
Interestingly, this was mitigated in Geth v1.11.4 this March, so should no longer be a concern on Ethereum, though the authors note that forks e.g. BSC and ETC may still be vulnerable.
