cellwriter
CellWriter is a grid-entry natural handwriting input panel. As you write characters into the cells, your writing is instantly recognized at the character level. When you press Enter on the panel, the input you entered is sent to the currently focused application as if typed on the keyboard. (by risujin)

Will Linux ever have a "on-screen keyboard" swipe feature?
There's this which is fairly new: https://sr.ht/~earboxer/swipeKeyboard/ (works with https://github.com/jjsullivan5196/wvkbd) and it's not great yet, but I've got it to work better after some edits to my word list. I've been using it on pinephone and pinetab.
