PS.: You may want to contact the guys from CadHub to add Fornjot to their list of code-CAD applications, and maybe take a look at the others I didn't mention if you haven't already. Also I must say that I'm not a dev of CadQuery.

Hey folks, We recently updated the CadHub homepage https://cadhub.xyz/. Why am I telling you this? Right at the top there is a "hero model" and atm it's a coffee lid and I don't think it's ideal as It's a bit of an odd part in the sense that I don't think it represents a typical CAD model too well. So I'm asking for submissions if anyone would like to have their model featured. I think what would be best would be something reasonably simple but not too simple if you know what I mean.

We absolutely want to add STL download to Cadhub. In fact since your box is hosted on Github, we actually want to build a Github integration/bot that builds and reproduces 3d artifacts with changes to master. But at the same time the customizer will be based on Github if so when you make changes to your repo the customizer will update too.

My usecase is I plan on making it part of https://cadhub.xyz/.

Super early days for me but I'm working on https://cadhub.xyz/, The idea is that it's a community sharing website for the code-cad community (think thingiverse cross codepen). I've got cascadeStudio working for the time being, but eventually, I'd like to add more. and this sounds like a easy way to integrate openJSCAD. (repo is here https://github.com/Irev-Dev/cadhub)an

As for Gamma: I wasn't really aware of CadQuery, but I did use OpenSCAD extensively, when designing my Lagrange keyboard. Gamma started as a way to address some aspects I didn't find quite satisfactory (as, to be fair, I can't say I had any real problems). Also to be fair, I used OpenSCAD through a frontend(scad-clj) translating Clojure code to its native language and some of the problems may have been due to that, but that is also one of the issues I had with OpenSCAD: why have to learn a new language when there are existing embedabble scripting languages, you might now already, of if not, which you might use elsewhere and which, having years of development, will likely be better?

I wonder how many OpenSCAD wrappers now exist? I know of scad-clj [0], openpyscad [1], and solidpython [2].

I particularly like scad-clj, because of `lein auto generate`. It watches source files, and regenerates the OpenSCAD files automatically, which OpenSCAD then also picks up. Although I'm not well versed in Clojure, and find debugging Clojure tricky, the workflow is just so good.
