You could go to options -> core plugins and enable the "Slash commands" plugin. There's also this community plugin that adds a text editor modal.

There are some plugins like cmenu to add some click-based formatting, or customizable menu that can add them into right-click menus.

Have you tried the cMenu plugin?

Templater lets you insert templates with custom keyboard shortcuts. CMenu adds a small menu at the bottom of the screen that you can fill with any command in Obsidian, including custom ones added by Templater.

I think there's no toolbar, only WYSIWYG. There are plugins that help with this, like: Markdown Formatting Assitant and CMenu. i know that a plugin doesn't solve the issue, there's a post in the Obsidian Forum talking about this.

You can use Auto note mover to have files move into the right place automatically based on tags or the filename

\2. The one that is closest to achieving what you want is Auto Note Mover. It allows you to move notes based on a tag or regex match. But there's a few problems with it.

For moving a file when you update its tag, use the Auto Note Mover plugin!

I'm continuing to combine Dataview with some custom templates for my common document types with YAML metadata filled out, as well as Auto Note Mover so I don't have to think about where to put each new note, And that's looking pretty good so far.

You may also find the Auto Note Mover plugin useful. IIRC, this works on binary files as well as markdown notes.

I suggest the auto note mover plug in! Github link. I prefer it over tagfolder because it’s a bit easier to work with and you don’t have to use a specific view, it’s all done within the File Explorer and I’m guessing that would work better if you only want to sync a specific folder.
