You’re welcome! Check out this plugin as well. It hasn’t been added to the official plugins list within the app so downloading it might be a bit more challenging. In this case you could turn the plugin that inspired it but unfortunately seems to be no longer maintained: link

Is there any way to insert Markdown elements with "/" shortcut?
You could go to options -> core plugins and enable the "Slash commands" plugin. There's also this community plugin that adds a text editor modal.
-
live editing?
There are some plugins like cmenu to add some click-based formatting, or customizable menu that can add them into right-click menus.

Use of IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) or Unicode from inside Obsidian?
Templater lets you insert templates with custom keyboard shortcuts. CMenu adds a small menu at the bottom of the screen that you can fill with any command in Obsidian, including custom ones added by Templater.

Notion is so slow it is almost unusable.
I think there's no toolbar, only WYSIWYG. There are plugins that help with this, like: Markdown Formatting Assitant and CMenu. i know that a plugin doesn't solve the issue, there's a post in the Obsidian Forum talking about this.

[API] [Help] How do I add block children at the beginning?
If your project is in Python you can do it with unofficial SDK like so
-
Notion Python SDK Documentation
Also if you are planning on uploading files or images to notion then you'll have to stick to the unofficial SDK for now, since the official one does not support creating file objects yet. You'll have to apply a few patches from the pull requests though to make it work properly, since the project is not maintained for a while.

Lessons learned from sharding Postgres at Notion
Slightly unrelated, but notion's unofficial python API is cool AF! https://github.com/jamalex/notion-py
It's way more powerful than their official API. The official API can only interact with databases, which (as anyone who uses Notion knows) is a tiny subset of the overall things you want to use Notion for.
The unofficial Python API lets you have complete programmatic access to all notion pages.
The tradeoff is that certain things break. However, after reading the code, I found it quite easy to fix the problems I ran into (https://github.com/jamalex/notion-py/pull/345) and I suspect you'll be able to do the same. (I empathize with maintainers not prioritizing their open source work ahead of family life, business, etc.)
Was surprised that it was even possible to have a nice Python class for every possible Notion object, let alone control them and update them on the fly. I wish their official API would be as flexible. Maybe one day.
