Hey, considering not everyone is in Discord and may be out of the loop, I figured I'd make a post here. For anyone unaware, I (BR88C) have been the primary developer for Krew.io over the past few months. I worked on almost everything you see in the changelog from 1.0.0 to 1.9.1. About a week ago, the former owner (Devclied) sold the game to LapaMauve, who is essentially an io game businessman. Here is a revised version of a message I sent to players that are in Discord. When Lapa (LapaMauve) became owner, almost immediately he started making changes to the code. Not only did this catch me off guard, but it made little to no sense as Lapa had a narrow understanding of the code, and was making several breaking changes. Damien (The other developer, while inactive he still did a lot for Krew) and I spent hours trying to reason with him in the staff chat in Krew's Discord server, but Lapa disregarded our advice in favor of pushing his changes to production (Production is Krew's servers that are public and that everyone plays on). He managed to open some vulnerabilities for bots, which exploiters noticed, and that caused the server outages seen about a week ago. At that point I still had access to SSH (That's how we access Krew's production server) and knew a possible hotfix to implement while I try to determine the permanent fix, but I held back from doing anything mainly to see what Lapa would do. The answer was basically nothing, as Lapa failed to even make a simple hotfix for those few days. He created what he sees as a "permanent fix", and while being somewhat effective against whoever was hosting the bots, it still has vulnerabilities that I know of now that I understand what the exploiters did. Amidst the outages, Lapa claimed that myself and Damien were responsible for the attacks, which caused Lapa to remove our access to SSH. I've told Lapa I'm temporarily withdrawing from Krew's development, as he continued to disregard my advice, as well as essentially talk down onto me, which I don't tolerate especially considering I'm essentially volunteering my time to improve the game for him (Staff isn't paid). Two days later, Lapa ended up removing all staff except for himself, presumably because we showed our distaste for what he was doing. This includes SJmun, Fiftyyyy, TheChoco, Kekmw, Tommy_Finle, Sky920, ObamaKindaCare, DamienVesper, and myself.
