Booting nano off of SSD - "apt update" causes errors
I have a SATA-USB controller and I attached a Samsung 870 EVO 500 GB to it. I'm roughly following this guide to move the installation to the SSD: https://github.com/jetsonhacks/bootFromUSB - in general it works except that it still boots off of the SD card so I'm just modifying extlinux config on the SD card to mount the root and boot off of SSD. Booting directly from the SSD does not work (I'll need to modify the firmware as much as I'm aware, but I don't need this, this solution is satisfactory for me as it's temporary).

Usage of swap memory in order to fit larger model
With a newer Jetpack version you can boot from USB - that may help. https://github.com/jetsonhacks/bootFromUSB

How do you program your nano with a different PC?
https://github.com/JetsonHacksNano/installVSCode I’m not sure what you mean by “program with a different PC” but here’s the link to installing Visual Studio Code. The command is no longer “code-oss”though, I’m fairly certain it’s just “code” now. There’s options to install with python, that’s what I recommend.
What are some alternatives?
