  • CMake building with bgfx not linking
    1 project | /r/cpp_questions | 7 Jun 2023
I've been trying to use CMake with a new project as I'm familiar with c++ but have never delved outside the safety of visual studio solutions. I'm trying to include bgfx (specifically this CMake port of it) into the project as a git submodule and I'm running into issues actually linking the libraries. I know where the .lib files are located after bgfx is built from it's CMakeLists.txt, and I know where the headers are located, however calling any bgfx function throws a linker error (unresolved external symbol) and I'm really struggling to figure out how to link it. All the tutorials online for adding libraries from source seem to be for tiny example libraries and I'd like to know how to properly integrate it into my project. The bgfx.cmake submodule is itself in a subdirectory called "lib". My CMakeLists.txt are as follows:
  • bgfx is impossible to build
    2 projects | /r/gamedev | 7 Mar 2023
