Happy 40s day! 🎉
Excellent taste. My keymap is my own homebrew layout that's suitable for casual use and programming, which I have humbly given the name of TypeBeastXDPlus Home Edition. The one in the top left is one of my first projects: the gasket mounted banime40

Simple open source 40%
The switches are held with a middle plate that is sized to the mx switches and fits it in. You can see that here https://github.com/ChrisChrisLoLo/banime40/tree/master/case/stl . Click on the plate

After 6 month of using a 32 key ortholinear keyboard, I got back to my staggered keyboard wpm of 60-70 WPM (words + punctuation + numbers). Some thoughts about switching, and the procs and cons I've noticed so far.
The creator of the board has much better pictures than I do here: https://github.com/ChrisChrisLoLo/banime40

Caseless Banime40
Wanted a 4x10 keyboard and stumbled upon the Banime40(https://github.com/ChrisChrisLoLo/banime40) made by u/sporewoh. I am used to having a keyboard that is basically just keys, switches and a PCB so I skipped 3D printing the case and this is the result.

The akko red and blue samurai coming in clutch, again.
the 40% is a banime40 an open sourced board https://github.com/ChrisChrisLoLo/banime40 . The creator had spare parts and i managed to snag components and a printed case from him. huge shoutouts to u/sporewoh , who has created a ton of designs, like his latest modular magnetic macropad was trending here.

Where do I go from here? The device does not get recognized as a keyboard after flashing with QMK Toolbox
I have a banime40 with this USB-C Pro Micro from keeb.io. I'm using QMK Toolbox 0.2.2. It connects, flashes, then disconnects

It’s free and open source here! https://github.com/ChrisChrisLoLo/banime40. I’m not planning to sell them as kits yet, though I may be able to in the foreseeable future. All updates with be open sourced though

Questions about the Raspberry Pi Pico as a replacement for the Pro Micro
I understand I would need to program it using KMK, but I just wanted to make sure I can use the Pi Pico as a replacement for the Pro Micro in the banime40, the board I want to order.

The bancouver40 group buy is now live!
The board can work with QMK, has USB-C, as well as kailh choc hotswap sockets. It’s a smidge bigger than modern smartphones, and is a great minimal keyboard for freeing up desk-space or carrying around. Most importantly to me, this board is also open-source, meaning you will never have to worry about being able to get a replacement years down the road.

kowgary16: an ultra-portable mechanical macropad
Hey everyone! Happy to showcase my ultraportable low-profile macropod, the kowgary16! It uses choc switches, uses CFX spacing (17mm x 17mm), and can act standalone or as a companion piece to the bancouver40. Right now I have it working as a number pad, though it does run on QMK, and can be changed to run any desired macro down the road.

Happy 40s day! 🎉
That's my new bancouver40! I'm keeping updates of a future group buy in my discord here if you're interested!

uncompromising smol; bancouver40
This is my newest low profile choc keyboard, the bancouver40! It’s one of my smallest boards to date, as it both has an onboard microcontroller as well as tight 17mm x 17mm spacing (which is a tad bit smaller than the standard 18mm x 17mm choc spacing). I was able to get away with this smaller pitch thanks to Chosfox’s relatively new CFX keycap.
