bananojs VS Banano-Faucet

You can build a faucet yourself with RPC docs, bananojs or bananopie then host it on any serverless platform like replit.

If you run a Banano node it contains an API to manage wallets. https://github.com/BananoCoin/banano/wiki/Running-a-Docker-Bananode Alternatively if you don't want to run a node and are familliar with JavaScript you can use BananoJS https://github.com/BananoCoin/bananojs BananoJS will still require a node endpoint to publish blocks but you can find some public ones here: https://public.banano.live

This pairs nicely with bananojs: https://github.com/BananoCoin/bananojs Reading their docs, kalium node looks like it’s open for public use, but I could be wrong.

To actually give out the banano, you use your private key to sign a send block (which contains information of your account, your new amount and the destination and some other info). You can take a look at an example JSON request here. You would send a standard POST request to a node. GoBanano provided the sufficient framework for creating the blocks and balances but didn't have a wrapper for the RPC calls. Libraries such as bananojs or bananopy provide wrappers and are easier to setup/use. prussia dev's opensource banano faucet also contains a lot of the logic you may need to setup a faucet. If you're a programmer: It's pretty simple to access all the blockchain events(Usually). You can pretty much find tipbot, faucet, block-explorer, etc. codes on Github to see how to get the info for that blockchain or coin. Python would work for the task(if you can find docs or code in python for the blockchain you need). I don't know about the getting past prices part, I've only done enough with banano python to retrieve blockchain info. For example: Banano code includes API(s), tipbots, and faucets(Probably half or more of the faucets are made by Prussia!)
