Using Daz3d to design a set and plan cameras in it
Blender would be better suited, for a number of reasons. More control over camera & light setups/settings, distances & measurements are in real world units. Built-in composting, multiple color-spaces to choose from, easier render setup and faster render speeds. Better general scene management, no need for asset conversion during import. A plethora of addons for pretty much any field to support your workflow. And this is where DAZ really falls flat, a proper documentation.
- It might be common knowledge but...there are TONS of high quality Public Domain assets. Not necessarily opengameart. Free high quality photos/paintings, music, 3d objects. Sadly I see many projects which don't take advantage of this. :( I've added some links.
