Since it sounds like you're using GitHub, using GitHub Actions for any CI pipelines would be easiest. You could run terraform plan in your PRs, there's a great writeup on how to do it here. Or any unit tests, docker builds, etc. Lots of great ideas at Awesome Actions.

  • netlify-cms

A Git-based CMS for Static Site Generators

Project mention: Which platform do you use for deployment ? | reddit.com/r/reactjs | 2022-06-08

Netlify CMS is a cool concept because it's totally free and doesn't really work as a traditional CMS -- it's called a git-based CMS. Basically, it lets you set up an admin page for editing content on your site, but your changes just get committed directly to the site's github repo, which then triggers a new build of the site with the new content. This allows you to keep the site static while still making the content easily editable. However, in my experience if could be a little clunky and hard to customize the admin UI if you wanted it to be able to edit content in more advanced ways. They've been working on it a lot though so it may be better than the last time I used it.

  • renovate

Universal dependency update tool that fits into your workflows.

Project mention: Dependabot alerts paused for malware advisories | news.ycombinator.com | 2022-07-02

Honestly dependabot is so bad I'm surprised anything other than the smallest projects use it, broken upgrades, lack of configurability, no multi-update PRs etc... and it only runs on GitHub.

I now recommend Renovate to clients which is also free, but a lot smarter.

  • devhub

TweetDeck for GitHub - Filter Issues, Activities & Notifications - Web, Mobile & Desktop with 99% code sharing between them (by devhubapp)

    Project mention: Ask HN: What Stack for mobile/desktop cross-platform native development in 2021? | news.ycombinator.com | 2021-10-20

React Native is your best bet.

    Examples:

RN desktop support is weak. But your mobile apps will work quite differently to your desktop apps anyway. And you probably want something that can run on the web too. So for desktop you just put your web app in Electron.

The difference between mobile and web will mean having to implement different routing and components, but you can share a lot of code.

Flutter is the new kid on the block.
