- Developed some BashScripts for VFIO, would love to have some thoughts.
-
Boot to Linux Desktop on the host gpu?
I wonder if this script I made will help. https://github.com/portellam/Auto-Xorg
-
Passthrough is working but bootup prioritizes GPU output
I made a system service/bash script (some time ago) which solves my issue (incorrect GPU assigned to host or Xorg). https://github.com/portellam/Auto-Xorg
- A bash script to detect how many INVIDIA gpu I have on the PC ; which GPU I want to passthru and to store in different variables all the PCI BUS ID values of the GPUs.
-
Found a script for Automated Xorg generation for multi-GPU VFIO setups
I found this script ( https://github.com/portellam/Auto-Xorg ) last week. I added it to my main dual-GPU setup (Ubuntu Linux).
-
Dynamic switching of active/passthrough GPU in a dual Nvidia setup
Speaking of scripts and multi-GPU setups, I found this script by chance: https://github.com/portellam/Auto-Xorg

-
GPU passthrough via thunderbolt
That's exactly what I do. I use this way and works perfectly. https://github.com/andre-richter/vfio-pci-bind
-
Kernel oops (null ptr dereference) when passing through PCI USB
Before booting the VM, I bind the card to vfio_pci using andre-richter/vfio-pci-bind.
-
PCIe card will not bind to vfio
I just have unbinding/binding vfio a shot and it works perfectly. I used the script from here https://github.com/andre-richter/vfio-pci-bind
What are some alternatives?
deploy-VFIO - Effortlessly deploy changes to enable virtualization, hardware-passthrough (VFIO), and quality-of-life enhancements for a seamless VFIO setup on a Linux desktop machine.
vfio - A script for easy pci and usb passthrough along with disks, iso's and other useful flags for quick tinkering with less of a headache. I use it for VM gaming and other PCI/LiveCD/PXE/VM/RawImage testing given the script's accessibility.
passthrough_helper_void - GPU passthrough helper
rtinst - seedbox installation script for Ubuntu and Debian systems
snowflake-tor-service - Automated 🧅 Tor ❄️ Snowflake Proxy (any Linux device). Run install.sh and you have a new Snowflake ProxyService (every boot)
update-golang - update-golang is a script to easily fetch and install new Golang releases with minimum system intrusion
vfio - This is the config for my VFIO gaming VM
single-gpu-passthrough - A guide to explain and instruct regarding hidden yet performant Linux virtual machines
pure-sh-bible - 📖 A collection of pure POSIX sh alternatives to external processes.
quickpassthrough - A project to remove the complexity of setting up GPU passthrough for qemu
