Using Unraid on AS5304T
There are some issues getting heat sensors, fan speed and LEDS working (and the LCD display on higher end Asustor models). This person seems to have closest to getting it all working: https://github.com/mafredri/asustor_as-6xxt

New release: [Linux on ASUSTOR] asustor-platform-driver
Why? I've been running Linux on ASUSTOR NAS(es) for many years and spent countless hours researching and reverse-engineering the hardware. I've previously shared some of my work in an unorganized manner in the asustor_as-6xxt repo but this felt insufficient. It's Christmas time so I wanted to get a bit more familiar with the Linux kernel tree, to share my work and hopefully bring a smile to someones face.

Is is possible to run other OS instead of ADM (Intel NAS models)?
I just found this https://github.com/mafredri/asustor_as-6xxt so it should be possible but it's kind of a mess as well... I'll probably stick to my own hardware build, it's not worth the hassle and Asustor devices aren't cheap either.

Can't get Linux headers working for compilation
Hi all, I am trying to install this kernel module from Github to regulate my fan speed. I am new, coming from Ubuntu and have used this module before on Ubuntu. I just can't compile it on Manjaro 22.0.4 Sikaris (i3wm version).

Fedora has significantly fumbled DKMS handling for Linux kernel modules
It's about this module: https://github.com/a1wong/it87
There is an old version of it in the kernel, which doesn't support newer released versions of that chip. I remember reading somewhere that the maintainer was being swamped with requests to make support for those chips too, but didn't get any help for it and it became a toxic environment to work on. So he dropped it.
