as mentioned by u/doc_willis, it may help to know the chipset. for my system i can see that info with lspci -knn | grep -iA3 network. that is for an internal device and not a usb in case yours happens to be usb. i did find this page that mentions the 5.4 kernel which my mint xfce install is using: https://github.com/mareksuscak/asus-pce-n53-linux
