For 5GbE, you can get a bb-qq/aqc111 compliant USB adapter. Although it will not be able to fully utilize 5GbE, it will still be faster than 2.5GbE.

I just bought the 920+ right before the announcement came out about the 423+. I'm planning on buying one of the USB 5GBe adapters that u/bb-qq helped create drivers for.

It is 15m cabel. So I guess it is all ok. Probably my NIC is not very friendly with switch. Hopefully SFP+ to RJ45 module will fix that (at least it won't hurt to try). QNAP QNA-UC5G1T is a USB3 to 5GbE NIC and people say it works with my NAS: https://github.com/bb-qq/aqc111 DS918 - my NAS is a bit old but still does a good job (hopefully it will do it even better) :) I will need a second SFP+ to RJ45 for it. Luckely this switch has two SFP+.

For your use, you might consider the DS923+ or the DS1522+. You're welcome to start with as few as two disks and work your way up to four or five or you can start with more. Both of these support a small add-on module called the E10G22-T1-Mini, which plugs into a proprietary small port and gives you 10Gbe connections. If you can live with 2.5 or 5 Gbps, you can also follow the guides here or here. Though I have a 10Gbe setup throughout (M1 Mac Mini, Unifi Flex XG, E10G18-T1 add-on on my DS1821+), I find that even a 2.5Gbe connection is fast enough to store my LrC library and catalog on the NAS and use it with some reasonable speed locally on a 2018 MacBook Pro. For 4k FCPX editing, though, I find I need the 10Gbe interface. I'm sure I could do it more cheaply by temporarily storing it locally on an external drive, but I'm lazy.

Do you absolutely need 10GBe or will 2.5GBe or 5GBe be sufficient? If so, you may be interested in looking at bb-qq's projects: r8152 for 2.5GBe devices, aquantia for 5GBe. I can attest that they both work, though I've not been able to find a 5GBe USB ethernet device that is stable for very long periods of time due to poor cooling design on most of the adapters. For 2.5GBe, I've had no problem with this $25 adapter.
